High St. Road Closure Westbound
Starting January 27th, 2025 for ten weeks.
Due to gas works the High street will be a one way street for 10 weeks.
From Newbury side ( heading Eastbound towards Reading) you can come along the street as normal.
From the motorway (Reading side) you will have to drive along the relief road to the roundabout, then along the High street.
This will add an extra 4 minutes to your journey.
The pubs are open as usual and we appreciate your support!

Built in the 17th century the Crown has always been at the heart at Theale. We have recently completed a huge renovation bringing this beautiful old pub back to life.
With a large outdoor covered patio area and sunny garden we are the perfect place to hold your summer event or just drop in for a refreshing drink.
We are open for drinks every day from 12 noon. The Crown Kitchen is now closed and open for events only. It will reopen generally in May 2024.
